  Okay, maybe the Witnesses ARE the true church. Maybe a lot of the dubs ARE blissfully happy, the ones who serve God in the way he wants.
  Thats possible. Certainly YOU believe so, and that is all that matters at the moment.
  However, Since leaving the organization I have had lengthy talks with numerous other ex Witnesses who, way back when, I was convinced were happy servants of Jehovah. I found something out talking to them.
  A lot of them werent happy in the church. They just looked happy.
  Inside they were in turmoil just like me, all the time smiling away,
  keeping up appearances. Thats what I found out. Whether it is totally true or not I cant say,its just become my opinion.

  You are having a bad day. Noticed sometimes you feel a bit better?
  Other days worthless?
  You are just flipflopping back and forth between states, ride the hurricane. There WILL be life after the Watchtower. Believe me.
  Might I suggest something?
  Wander next door into "www. exmormon.org".there is a chat room there, set there a while,and you will notice something. The people in there have gone thru EXACTLY the same feelings, traumas, as everyone here in this site.
  The experience of being mentally abused and blaming yourself for the abuse is not unique to the Witnesses. It is endemic in many church organizations.
  You must ride this out.
  How about if I told you that you CAN alter the way you think and feel?
  There are ways to do this, I know, Ive done them. Im not going to expound these methods on this forum,but they do exist.
  Do you want me to tell you about them? I will.

  second sentence out of her mouth after just meeting you for the first time was: "Oh yes, I hope to get married one day, if Jehovah wills it".
  Meanwhile her eyes are sliding over your six pack belly, oozing down sizing up your crotch.

  with the 4th anniversary of my parents death looming and the anniversary of their last wedding anniversary party where my family was together and happy for the last time just being past ....i was feeling kind of depressed and wanted to reach out to what family i have left.

  i sat there and debated in my mind if i should do it...should i try and reach out to my sister..see if i could reach her across the barrier of the jw religion.

  should i try to remind her that we are sisters...we were sisters before we became jws and we will always be sisters.

  all quotes in capitals.. a doctrine must never be willing to share with another,it cannot be willing to collaborate with an existing order,which it condemns,it feels obligated to combat with the whole world of existing ideas with all possible means, that is, it must prepare its downfall.. the movement must be opposed to existing institutions.. the writer then speaks of manufacturing simple slogans which must be endlessly repeated so as to ignite the organizations followers to action.he says that,once something has been revealed as doctrine to the masses,it must never be altered or changed.

  the word used is infallible..... since the programme of the movement is absolutely correct in its aims..with a doctrine it is less harmfull to retain a formulation,even if it should prove to, later,not correspond to reality, rather than improving it and expose a granite principle to discussion.for how shall we convince the people to have blind faith.

  The term used is...MARCH IN STEP.

  Re information within the organization:
  IT IS NOT NECESSARY THAT THE INDIVIDUAL SHOULD OBTAIN A FULL KNOWLEDGE OF THE AIMS OF THE MOVEMENT AND THE THOUGHT PROCESSES OF THE LEADERS.
  WHAT IS NECESSARY IS THAT A FEW REALLY GREAT IDEAS BE MADE CLEAR...AND BURNED INEXTINGUISHABLY INTO HIM.SO THAT HE IS ENTIRELY PERMEATED BY THE NECESSITY OF VICTORY, IS TRAINED IN RIGID DISCIPLINE,AND IN FAITH IN THE JUSTNESS OF THE CAUSE.
  HE MUST BE WILLING TO STAKE HIS LIFE FOR THE CAUSE WITHOUT RESERVATION.

  The writer then recommends endless drill, and repetition of slogans.

  it is no wonder then that the apostate angel would be behind the effort to use the scriptures against jehovahs people today in order to mislead them.

  one of the most cunning and effective uses of scripture against us by satans agents is the charge that we are false prophets.

  That line of arguement about the Apostles spreading erroneous teachings re Christs return...
  Its a line of reasoning that Ellen G White liked, now Ive got her "great Controversy" book and where that arguement is put forth I cant see a SINGLE scripture to support the contention.
  Im pretty sure if there was one, she woulda quoted it.
  Can you enlighten me???
